Charleston, South Carolina is the 2010 Best Tennis Town
The 2010 Best Tennis Town was announced at the 2010 US Open and received a check for $100,000 to be used for tennis programming or facility enhancements. Second place received $50,000 and third place received $25,000 to help continue to grow tennis in their communities.
The winners were determined by the general public in a month long online vote during the summer. Representatives from the Top 3 Finalist communities were in attendance for the ceremony.
The 7 Honorable Mentions were recognized with Honorable Mention plaques presented to each community along with $2,000 worth of tennis equipment.
